Academy Graduate Takes Round Win 7/10

2008 Elite Motorsport Academy Graduate Richie Stanaway recently won round two of the Tony Oliver Contractors Formula Ford Series (formerly the winter series) using the new French Mygale chassis. "It has been a really busy week at the Elite Motorsport Academy in Dunedin and it was great to come straight to manfeild and be able to put my newly acquired skills to the test immediately after graduating from the academy on Friday and then put on a race winning performance"

There are huge benefits young drivers gain from the grounding they receive from the Academy and must give credit to the work of the specialists who have designed and refined a unique program which focuses on turning young drivers into elite athletes which gives them the tools to excel in their sport. "During the academy we learned about various skill sets which relates to our performance inside and outside of the race car. We were pushed to the limit physically and mentally with the tests that the academy have throughout the week and they had a huge influence on my performance this weekend"

The Formula Ford rookie tested in wet conditions on Saturday and proved to be fastest in all sessions before winning two races on Sunday and finishing a nail biting second in the other.  "The Mygale has had a fantastic first two rounds out of the box and it is defiantly showing it's championship winning potential, Last year the manufacturer won the national championship in the UK, South Africa and Australia so were looking forward to getting everything dialed in before our National Championship beings at Taupo Motorsport park on the third of October."

Rounds 3 and 4 are at Manfeild on 3rd August and 7th September
